I just discovered your site (through wikipedia). Great work! It's made my day to find someone who recognizes such brilliant music. Keep up the vigil!!

comment from Brian McGee
Great stuff on here. Worth noting that your Sound City 96 file isn't all Sound City 96 :-) Sound City 96 was Leeds (12 Apr 1996), and the last four tracks (Slid, Bullet, Freak, Tosh) are from that gig. The rest of this file is from Soho, 12 Nov 1996, and you're missing the last few minutes of Atomix 4 (it's crossfaded midway into Slid from Leeds on your tape for some reason).

My Soho tape has nicer bass too if you want a copy, and Atomix 4 is complete on it. And your Leeds tape seems to play slow (mine's at the correct speed, sounds a bit better, but has the DJ edited out of Tosh at the end so some of Tosh is missing.

I also have video from Tribal Gathering if you're interested, don't see it here, Squirt and Absurd, professionally shot, MPG2.

Also have them at Brighton 1996 (Slid, Setback, Freak, Atom Bomb, Top of the World, Electric Guitar, Unknown Track, Tosh) if you're interested, don't see that here either, although the sound isn't great on my copy, no idea where I got it but I have it for years.

If you want any of my stuff just give me a shout. Oh, and while I'm nitpicking, the 1995 interview is clearly later than 1995 cause he's talking about the release of Atom Bomb ;-p

Hi Martin, I'm a long time fluke fan and I am loving this site! Anyway, I just wanted to drop a note to let you know: the version of switch in the Fluke DJs Live set is the "Marco Bellini & Van Weller Bosomania Club Mix" from the Switch Single.

Hope I've helped in some small way, keep up the good work and hopefully a few more names will find their ways onto the tour petition :D

I have a question for Justin credible, I have been listening to your remix of Hang Tough and Amp on YouTube (that's how I found out about this site). I would love to download a copy so I can listen on MP3, etc. Is that available anywhere on line? I live in Asia and can't go to any useful shops, unfortunately.

An help appreciated!

comment from DJ Leo
Does anyone have a file/mp3 of "Liquid"? Great Fluke track, cannot find it anywhere. Thanks to anyone who could share. Cheers, DJ Leo

2 Bit Pie and fans of,
I'm making a mix cd for my varsity soccer team. My coach is kind of strict, so he needs the lyrics to all the songs on the cd so he can okay them. I can't seem to find the lyrics to the song 'Here I Come' and i was wondering if you could either send me the lyrics or send me to a website that has the lyrics on them. thanks!

I am pretty old, I suppose, to be a fan of the scene... but what the hell... I have always had an ear for excellent music (in the late 70's I used to pick the songs played on-air for a popular SoCal radio station).

I am very appreciative to find a resource and fan-base for these artists. I hope I can find something to contribute.

comment from Darren
has anyone got a copy of the instrumental version of 'here i come' from the instrumental island promo cd? i cannot find it anywhere.. :-(

comment from yolanda
please can you tell me who does the vocals on track 'colours' - is it Fugler? Beautiful

comment from Martin
Vocals on Colours are done by Jan Burton - oh he of Syntax fame!

comment from Steve
Any plans to redo some of the early Fluke material with a 2 bit pie slant? A tribute almost....would be inetresting

comment from Adilio
any possibility to get the instrumental promo album somewhere?

comment from Martin
Afraid the Instrumental Island Promo is just that, promotional only. Your best best is to put in a recurrent search on ebay!

comment from Masha
Lyrics! why no lyrics for colours? everyone seems to dig that song a lot.

comment from Rob
There is a promo of Yuki's "Dark like Snow" with just the instrumental versions of tracks. I've just got it from Ebay.

comment from Martin
Hi Rob - yeah - I've got a copy as well - will post the info up when I get 5 mins.

Best,

Martin

About

Thursday, 27 September 2007

What is this site?

This site is dedicated to the works of Fluke, 2 Bit Pie, Syntax, Yuki and associates. While I have limited contact with the band, this site is 100% unofficial and is maintained as a hobby/fan basis.

Who are Fluke?

You may not know the name, but chances are (unless you've lived under a rock for the last 20 years), you've heard the music.

Fluke are Mike Bryant, Jon Fugler and Mike Tournier; a trio of friends who have made electronic music together for the past 20 years. From humble beginnings with their first single, "Island Life", through to the critically acclaimed "Risotto" with the pounding success of "Atom Bomb", Fluke 2010 is a coming together to celebrate and extend this legacy.

Where have you heard them? Well, their later work Zion featured in The Matrix Reloaded; Absurd in Tomb Raider; Atom Bomb in Behind Enemy Lines and The Wipeout 2097 video game - the list goes on!

Fluke has also spawned several side projects, from the darker melancholy vibes of Syntax (Mike T.) to the 2-part trip of 2-Bit (Mike B. and Jon F.).

Now, in 2010, Fluke will reunite and show that they've got what it takes for a third decade.
