New Justin Credible Album

Saturday, 18 April 2009
Rave time with jUSTIN cREDIBLE2bitpie.net is today proud to present the latest album from resident remixer/producer jUSTIN cREDIBLE. Those of you who have been around a while will have seen his previous work, such as the mINDFLOWER eP and, of course, his fantastic remix work.

His latest album kicks off with the eerie vocals of mY hEALING, before heading off into the 303-reminiscent rumblings of mESSAGE; for me this was a trip down acid-house highway. Shortly following is the slow, gradual build of mIND fLOWER, which fans will be familiar with from the aforementioned EP.

One of the reasons why jUSTIN's work finds itself well received here, is the clear Fluke influence that permeates his work. This is no clearer than in the titling of cAT mOON and the My Spine reference in the tempo raising, mY fEET dON'T tOUCH tHE gROUND.

Meanwhile, tracks such as pOWER uP! feature an awesome rave-like fluctuation over gently pulsating "piano" synths as iNTO tHE sKY tells us that we should close our eyes and follow him. As with The Chemical Brothers injunction, Come With Us, there is a strong incentive to comply.

Finally, the melancholy calling of sNOWFLAKE preceding the optimistic chords of lULLABY bring the album to a close.

I can't recommend this album enough; I've been working with it through my noise cancelling headphones and the bass is great!

So, without further ado, here's a tracklist and download link:

jUSTIN cREDIBLE - pOWER uP!
  • 1. mY hEALING
  • 2. mESSAGE
  • 3. mIND fLOWER
  • 4. cAT mOON (vOX mIX)
  • 5. pOWER UP!
  • 6. iNTO tHE sKY
  • 7. sNOWFLAKE
  • 8. mY fEET dON'T tOUCH tHE gROUND
  • 9. lULLABY

New Syntax track

Syntax - The River

Amidst all the flurry of activity regarding upcoming Fluke concerts, remixes and competitions, I almost neglected to mention that Mike Tournier has also been busy and, for the past couple of weeks, there has been a new track on the Syntax Myspace site.

The track is called The River and is fairly chilled. Hopefully there will be some news on an official release for the next Syntax production soon.
